One of the most important things Battleground did for WWE's future is set up a reason for fans to watch Raw. The television ratings decline in the last few months has been worrying. WWE are hitting seventeen year lows in terms of episodes that aren't on a holiday or opposed by major sporting events. Fans are tuning out because they're bored of Raw. Battleground changed all of that. Raw is expected to do huge TV ratings tonight, as fans tune in to get the follow up from The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar. The special was a real cliffhanger, basically telling viewers they need to tune in to Monday night Raw to see what is going to happen next. Not only should this benefit the post Battleground Raw, but the ratings should stay strong throughout August. Having The Undertaker back and in a storyline is a huge boon for viewership.
