Few workers have sabotaged their own careers as badly as Enzo Amore. He went from being part of one of the most legitimately over acts in the biz to an afterthought within a few short years. Onscreen, Enzo's tag-team with Big Cass earned rave reviews for mic work and crowd reactions. They were never anything special in-ring, but that didn't matter when the pops were booming and merch was flying off the shelves.

Then, everything turned sour. Amore was accused of sexual assault in January 2018. WWE distanced themselves from the matter by first suspending then firing Enzo whilst a police investigation was underway. For his part, Amore denied the allegations and professed his innocence. Later, police called off the investigation and closed the case.

It was too late to salvage a lost WWE career, but Amore tried in the worst way possible. He went undercover in the crowd for Survivor Series 2018 and caused a scene before being ejected from the building. Being thrown out for being a nuisance was nothing new for him - previously, whilst part of the WWE roster, Enzo had been tossed off a tour bus by Roman Reigns for refusing to shut his yap.

Many were already sick of him by the time he left in early-2018, but strong mic skills and a blossoming connection with the audience papered over any cracks. Mere months after being one of wrestling's biggest talking points for the right reasons, Amore was making headlines for the wrong ones.

WWE weren't going to tolerate his PLE gatecrashing either.
