Sirens would've gone off for real (not just as part of his entrance track) had Scott Steiner dared to step foot anywhere near WWE's 2015 Hall Of Fame ceremony. The company put up posters warning staff about Steiner's presence. Dude was wanted more than Arthur, Dutch and the gang in Red Dead Redemption 2. They couldn't visit Blackwater, and 'Big Poppa Pump' couldn't pop into the HOF to say hello.

Steiner had made some cutting comments about Hulk Hogan and his ex-wife Linda that put everyone on high alert. It might sound daft to some now, but Scotty was considered a high security risk, and he simply wasn't welcome at the bash. The ex-WCW Champ was 11 years removed from his last run as a WWE wrestler, and yet here he was on 'WANTED' posters.

Those posters did the rounds on social media.

Steiner didn't actually come back into the WWE fold until he and his brother Rick were inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 2022. His nephew Bron Breakker's success and rise up the cards from breakout NXT linchpin to main roster heel has helped soften some of the rough edges that came to define Scott's relationship with the likes of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon too.

Now, he's very much welcome at WWE events. That definitely wasn't always the case. Vince's edicts once included strict word that 'Freakzilla' couldn't come close to threatening Hulk, his family, Hunter, Steph or anyone else. The McMahons figured Steiner would make a scene if he did show up, so they took steps to ban him.
