You WERE Supposed To See This Moment On WWE Clash At The Castle

Rumour killer on suggestions that WWE aired something fans weren't meant to see.

It turns out you were supposed to see that bizarre karaoke session involving Drew McIntyre and Tyson Fury right at the tail end of WWE's Clash At The Castle.

Ex-WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr claimed to have the scoop on a production botch that saw the singalong air on the live broadcast. According to Freddie, in-house sources told him that wasn't supposed to make air at all.

Fightful Select's WWE sources told them something else completely. They're reporting that this is false and that Tyson crooning Don McLean's iconic hit 'American Pie' was pencilled in for the show's closing moments.

It still felt awkward though.

Fans have pointed out that Drew went from being gutted about losing a golden opportunity to become Undisputed WWE Universal Champ in the UK to...singing tunes with a boxer he'd verbally jousted with on social media for months.

Strange visual or not, it was something WWE wanted fans to see. Being fair, they probably would've cut the feed a lot sooner than they did had it been a botch. That post-main event segment ran for a solid 10 minutes or so, after all.
