10 Worst Celebrity Video Game Performances

8. Bruce Willis - Apocalypse

Ghostbusters Bill Murray
Activision

Back in 1998, it was a huge novelty to have a star like Bruce Willis starring in a game, but even his presence could do little to hide how mediocre Apocalypse was. Originally Bruce was supposed to be a sidekick character the player fought alongside, but during play testing the developer quickly realised people wanted to play as the man himself.

This led to his dialogue being awkwardly recut to suggest he was the focus of the plot, but Willis’ lacklustre delivery did little to endear players to his character. During gameplay, he blurts out the occasional silly one-liner, but his heart clearly isn’t in it - a sign of things to come in his later movies work.

The game was a decent enough rental experience, but there’s a reason Bruce was never invited back to voice a video game character.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
