1. Change Is Good

As Paolo di Canio proved yesterday, sometimes, change is a good thing. Many eyebrows were raised when Sunderland decided to sack the likable Martin O'Neill and replace him with the Italian, who, by contrast, lacked the reams and reams of managerial experience his predecessor had under his belt. Yet the Black Cat's 3-0 stuffing of Newcastle probably wouldn't have happened under the Irishman. What the club needed was someone to get in their faces, give them a good shake and a slap across the face, if necessary, and that's exactly what di Canio did yesterday. His passion was there to see as he slid Mourinho-style on his knees in celebration of the second goal before manically dancing around with his players when the critical third thumped into the net. Perhaps Newcastle need someone of the ilk of di Canio to reawaken within them the success they enjoyed last season?
Do you think Alan Pardew should be sacked?
