Newcastle Transfers: 5 Reasons Pardew MUST Get Rid Of Papiss Cisse

It's time to let the wayward hero leave.

Despite Newcastle failing to register a single shot on target in their opening Premier League match against Man City, they are in a stronger attacking position than they were last season. Shola Ameobi has gone and found his level in the Turkish second division, three new signings have been brought in up front and attacking midfield has been considerably improved with the additions of Remy Cabella and Siem De Jong. Yes, Loic Remy's goals have gone, but Newcastle may still bring in another striker before the end of the month, and overall the picture is definitely a healthier one. The one remaining issue is the continued presence of Papiss Cisse, the formerly explosive striker who came into the club like a man possessed, but who has more recently turned into something of a problem. No matter how many opportunities he is seemingly given, Cisse is far from the player he initially was in black and white: where he once looked supremely confident and would try outrageous, instinctive shots like the Chelsea goal, he has more recently looked flustered and lacking in confidence in front of goal. Chances he would once gobble up without thinking went begging, and though he managed more than 20 shots on target last year, only 2 went in. That tells its own story. The only solution to Cisse's situation is to allow him to find a new club, for the good of the player and the team, and there are more reasons for that seemingly harsh assessment than you might initially suspect...
