9. The Angels Take Manhattan

the angels take manhattan No, this one wasn't as good as Blink. But it was still very cool. The angels didn't move unless we looked at them--the cardinal sin of the Byzantium episode--and they even had babies, babies which could blow out your lights. Manhattan lent itself well to a lovely creepy vibe, full of suspicious statues and looming apartment blocks. The angel's farm was frightening too, and had a fantastic sense of foreboding to it. Imagine walking into a building you've never seen before and finding your name written on a door. Finding yourself inside. and then being sent back in time, knowing forever that that was your fate. Then we realize that this is, according to what the Doctor says, fated to happen to Rory. We know that this is Amy and Rory's last episode, so the possibility that one or both of them will be stuck here is very real. Also, the angel baby blowing out the match? So. Spooky. I'm gonna need more words for "scary..."
