20 Greatest Moments In Modern Doctor Who
20 memorable moments from 20 years of modern Doctor Who.

When Russell T Davies brought back Doctor Who in 2005, in the heat of the Saturday night wars between the BBC and ITV, he was keen to include something "irresistible" in each episode. And boy, did he deliver.
RTD's successor Steven Moffat went even further, conceiving of big Doctor Who moments that would play out on a big screen in global cinema screenings for the likes of The Day of the Doctor and Deep Breath. Chris Chibnall was no slouch either, giving us a whole new mythology for the Doctor and a six-part event series that blew up half the universe.
The past two decades have been absolutely packed with great Doctor Who moments, so it's hard to narrow them down to just 20. This list will focus on the biggest laughs, the most bombastic speeches, the most satisfying resolutions, the scariest monster moments... and of course, the Daleks.
While we may not agree on what constitutes the greatest moments of modern Doctor Who, we can definitely agree that it's been the trip of a lifetime!
20. Killer Christmas Tree (The Christmas Invasion)

Jon Pertwee famously said that there was nothing more frightening than a yeti on the loo in Tooting Bec.
Russell T Davies understood this in his bones, and his first era was defined by alien horrors lurking in everyday locations. Among the most memorable was the murderous Christmas tree from The Christmas Invasion – a rampaging, razor-branched nightmare ploughing through the walls of Jackie Tyler's flat as she cowered in a corner, delivering the immortal line:
"I'm going to get killed by a Christmas tree!"

This is pure Doctor Who, Christmas or otherwise.
