10 Problems WWE Must Solve In The 2024 Draft

Triple H has a ton of annoying problems to solve during WWE's 2024 Draft.

There's a lot WWE must do during the 2024 Draft, and that includes making sure some of the roster trades properly shakeup the landscapes on Raw, SmackDown and NXT. Triple H has other problems to solve though. 'The Game' has to overcome decades of sporadically trivial/boring Draft specials.

OK, perhaps that's unfair. The Draft is a grand idea on paper, but the way WWE executes it is definitely excruciating. Then, the same folks who told you how important and exciting it is one minute downplay their own decision-making the next. That won't do in 2024 - it's vital this year's version sets up the rest of the year and carries the product on the crest of a wave all the way to WrestleMania 41.

That's achievable if Trips and his merry band of creative team members do some forward planning and don't treat the 2024 Draft like some gimmicky afterthought nobody cared about anyway as soon as it finishes. Do that, and they'll also fail to navigate an admittedly tricky PLE conundrum slapped right in the thick of it all.

Planning is everything. Here are all the issues WWE faces during the next Draft!

10. Making The Actual Process Entertaining

Last year, Triple H leaned on a bunch of legends like RVD, Teddy Long, Shawn Michaels and more to deliver Draft announcements and try to spice each one up. It wasn't terrible, but it still felt a bit dry. That's one of the biggest problems WWE has here: How do they make the actual process of drafting picks entertaining?

They'll need to figure something out.

Generally, the promotion could do a much better job of catching wrestler reactions once they're drafted too. Everything has this shoulder-shrugging "meh" feeling to it, almost like people knew in advance which show they were going to anyway. Obviously that's true behind the scenes, but in front of the camera? Nah, more drama needed.

Simply having Trips, Stephanie McMahon or somebody like that read out picks then show workers on the tron is dull. Sure, WWE can make that part of the process, but they should layer more bells and whistles on top to make these Draft specials satisfying.

Otherwise, fans would be as well reading a list online afterwards.
