WWE: 10 Times Triple H Saw Something He Liked And Booked Himself Into It

5. The Undertaker At WrestleMania

In 2009 and 2010, Triple H watched on as his best friend Shawn Michaels stole the show with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25 and 26. Looking at his peers have the match of the year, taking all the WWE limelight, it made Hunter want a piece of the action. Following Shawn Michaels retirement against Undertaker at Mania 26, Hunter stepped in the next year to take on the streak. He had saw what this spot had done for HBK, now he hoped for the same effect. To be fair to Hunter, he put himself into the spot, but he made it work. The feud made sense, Hunter was going after Taker to avenge his friend's loss. When they met again a year later, it was again logical, Hunter had just about beat Taker at Mania 27. At WrestleMania 28 'the end of the era' contest ended up being the best match of 2012 in many peoples opinions. It serves as proof that even if Triple H does use underhanded tactics to get the best spots, he does more often than not deliver on the night. He's one of the finest workers of the past decade, he deservers credit where credit is due. It just so happens that every now and then he puts himself in a spot that makes absolutely no sense. As you will find out in our next entry.
