15 Secret WWE Pasts Of Top AEW Stars

Remember when Kenny Omega appeared on the WWE Network?

One of the blessings of having AEW as part of the wrestling landscape is having something that differs from the juggernaut WWE. All Elite Wrestling has managed to carve out a space for itself by doing something different from the glossy, big-budget approach to the squared circle. It's been great for fans, and it's given talented wrestlers who might not be a good fit for WWE's distinct in-house style somewhere to thrill us all.

That being said, many of the performers on Tony Khan's roster have had dalliances with WWE. No matter how small the role has been, some of the biggest and most surprising names in AEW have played a part in WWE. Buried beneath the ether, we have scoured the history books to find some of these shocking appearances and put them into one handy list for you to check out.

From shock offers to refereeing, to one of the world's greatest wrestlers nearly being given the name 'Cheesy' and beyond, these are the secret WWE appearances that some of All Elite Wrestling's most significant performers don't want you to see.

15. Kenny Omega

As well as being known as The Cleaner, The Best Bout Machine, The God of Professional Wrestling, and all manner of other cool-sounding nicknames, Kenny Omega is justifiably and widely considered the best wrestler to have never set foot inside a WWE ring. It's no secret that WWE made plenty of advances to sign the elite Canadian over the years, but Kenny remains WWE's great white whale.

While Omega has never wrestled for WWE, he did appear very briefly on the dearly departed WWE Network. Clocking in at less than a minute, Kenny cut a short promo on Cru Jones while the pair were in the Deep South Wrestling developmental territory, and this short and sweet tirade about rainbows and leprechauns aired on WWE's in-house channel and on their YouTube a week after the first All In. Coincidence, eh?

It might be a slight reach to include this as part of Omega's career in any way, but whatever way you slice it, you can find footage of Kenny Omega on WWE's programming. It's not quite a WrestleMania performance, but it's on record nevertheless.
