7 Forgotten WWE Appearances By AEW Stars

The most closed of Forbidden Doors has been opened more times than you remember.

No matter your view on the company, AEW's emergence in 2019 has been great for all aspects of the professional wrestling landscape. The potshots at WWE are often as hard-hitting as the in-ring action, but many of AEW's biggest stars have barely recognized WWE performances under their belts.

Being used as everything from comic relief and as barely-noticed extras to forgettable squash appearances, the Forbidden Door from AEW to WWE is one that's been opened far more than the average fan remembers.  Perhaps most surprisingly, it's not just midcarders that have appeared on WWE television. Some of the biggest names in AEW have already made their WWE debut, with former and current champions and even the company's EVPs among those who have appeared on various WWE shows.

From being squashed by Crash Holly at Madison Square Garden to trying to help Team Hell No to put their differences aside, and mimicking D-Generation X to having the unenviable task of wrestling in the Thunderdome, only the most observant of fans will remember these "blink and you'll miss it" performances from some of AEW's top names on WWE TV.

7. Scorpio Sky

Scorpio Sky has had a career littered with titles and trinkets. A former TNT Champion and being one half of the first-ever AEW Tag Team Champions with SCU, Sky has also held titles in Ring Of Honor and PWG. His only appearance in WWE is fondly remembered, but involves no wrestling at all.

Team Hell No was one of the most popular tag teams of the 2010s in WWE. The polar opposite of one another, Kane and Daniel Bryan gained popularity during their unforgettable comedy skits, where they were sent to anger management to deal with their never-ending problems. What you may not remember about those skits, though, was the appearance of Scorpio Sky.

Appearing as "Harold", Sky would attempt to befriend both Kane and Daniel Bryan, allowing them to vent about their work problems to no avail. Sky's highlight would come when taking part in a "trust fall", where Team Hell No united in leaving him to come crashing to his peril in said fall. Scorpio has a career filled with accolades, and this fall and all the Team Hell No comedy segments deserve their place on his highlight reel.
