Full Details Of WWE 2K23's 'Never Give Up' Showcase Mode
Players will have to compete AGAINST John Cena as part of WWE 2K23's Showcase Mode.
With WWE 2K23 just one month away from being released, 2K Games have released some fairly comprehensive details on the game's Showcase Mode. Of course, in addition to being this year's cover star, John Cena is the focus of the release's aptly named Never Give Up spin on Showcase.
In a slightly different approach to the norm where it pertains to Showcase, the focus this time out will be on matches deemed to be the toughest losses of Cena's illustrious career.
Given how Big Match John has already been the focus of Showcase back in WWE 2K15, 2K Games have now detailed how they wanted to try something fresh with this upcoming release. As such, players will take control of Cena's opponents across 15 of the legend's biggest loses, with John himself framed as the "big boss" of the mode.
Spanning various different stages of John Cena's career, the following 14 matches have been confirmed as making up the Never Give Up offering.
- SmackDown 2002: John Cena vs. Kurt Angle
- Backlash 2003: John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar
- Vengeance 2003: John Cena vs. Undertaker
- ECW One Night Stand: John Cena vs. Rob Van Dam
- SummerSlam 2006: John Cena vs. Edge
- New Year's Revolution 2006: John Cena vs. Edge

- SummerSlam 2014: John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar
- SummerSlam 2016: John Cena vs. AJ Styles
- WrestleMania 34: John Cena vs. Undertaker

As is usually the case, one has to expect that various unlockables will be on the line in the above bouts. Also, much like Rey Mysterio on WWE 2K22, Cena himself will narrate the tale of each of the above matches as the game switches from live-action footage to in-game action.
