Often referring himself to as ''the Greatest Hero you've never heard of'', Booster Gold has gone from showboating comic relief to genuine time-traveling hero since his debut in 1986. Along with his loyal robotic sidekick, Skeets, his time-traveling antics have seen him interact with a medley of characters throughout history, notably the Justice League.

Michael Jon Carter was born into poverty in a 25th Century version of Gotham City and grew up to be a gifted athlete and star quarterback at Gotham University.

However, all this came crumbling down following an encounter with his deadbeat father that led him to bet on his games. A down on his luck Carter then joined a superhero-themed museum and is inspired by its content to travel back in time and become a cash-grab superhero.

His suit and equipment enable him to increase his physical attributes to superhuman levels, fly using the aid of a Legion flight ring, generate forcefields powerful enough to survive a blow from Doomsday, and travel through time using time travel circuitry in his suit.

Booster Gold's character arc from fame-hungry superhero wannabe to the real deal is compelling, organic, and is further... boosted by his interactions with more straight-faced heroes and villains across the universe.
