10 Comic Heroes Who Humiliated Their Rival

3. Alfred Pennyworth Vs Superman

Thanos Deadpool
DC Comics

Otherwise known as the comic book where Alfred Pennyworth kicked Superman's ass so hard that his shoes and socks literally disintegrated off his feet.

After the Superman of Injustice: Year One broke into the Batcave and busted Batman's back (how very Bane), Alfred was a man incensed. Snaffling a super pill invented by Lex Luthor, the butler beat the Kryptonian down into the ground - a victory so decisive that Alfred could have single-handedly put a stop to the Injustice universe then and there.

Sadly, Alfred never was released as a playable character in Injustice or its sequel, but this comic book gives us one of the more unique superhero battles ever posited.

In typical Alfred style, the English gent's mid-fight patter was just as dignified as the man himself. "Clark Kent. I am so disappointed in you." Oof.
