3. Sinister Six
An iconic group of villains from the Spider-Man mythos, this team was supposed to appear in the Amazing Spider-Man's third instalment that never happened. Bringing together big players like Doc Ock, Mysterio, and others, they challenged Peter Parker's physical and mental capacities, going after Spider-Man individually to see who could successfully take him down.
This would lead to their downfall, as they were clearly a bigger challenge to Spider-Man together, but they would come back over and over in multiple incarnations to take him down regardless, once even including a reluctant Sandman, who turned his back on them and helped Spidey defeat them.
Not only would this team bring together the most interesting and iconic villains from the Spider-verse, but it would also cement Spider-Man's status as one of the major players of New York's superheroes, something that may come later down the line in the MCU, with Peter's youth setting him up for many more challenges ahead.
Even if not strictly as a team, having the individual members of the Six appear over time in the upcoming Spider-films is something every fan of the wall-crawler is looking forward to.
