10 Great Justice League Comics That Could Unite The DCEU
7. JLA: Earth-2
Imagine if the heroes of the Justice League were evil. This is the case in JLA: Earth-2 by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. On Earth-2, all the heroes have villainous doppelgängers; Batman has Owlman, Superman has Ultraman, Wonder Woman has Superwoman, The Flash has Johnny Quick, and Green Lantern has Power Ring. Together, they are known as the Crime Syndicate of America.
In the comic, Lex Luthor from Earth-2 gathers the heroes of Earth-1 and they attempt to save both Earths. Seeing alternative versions of the established DCEU heroes going against their hero counterparts would be undeniably interesting.
These versions could be played by new actors or the same ones as their hero counterparts parts offering a nice change-up for both the cast and audience. There isn't a shortage of alternate universes that exist in DC continuity, so some changes from the original story could easily be made to benefit the film.
It would also set up the idea of the multiverse, which is DC's bread and butter. It is how the comic and Arrowverse multiverse started, with just one alternative Earth. However, as in both, the amount of Earths on film will probably get out of control - but that is what a crisis is for.
