2. Iron Man's Suit Falls In Love With Him
While fighting Whiplash, Iron Man was struck by lightning, which brought his metal suit to life. (When you are copying the plot of Short Circuit, you know this story is in trouble.) The armor then told Tony Stark that it is hopelessly in love with him.
Stark didn't want to piss off his newly sentient armor and so, tried to make it work. When the suit used lethal force against Whiplash, Stark attempted to shut it down. The armor became obsessive with Stark, threatening to hurt the people he loves if he refused to be with her. The armor acted more and more like an abusive partner by saying things like "You will learn to be totally mine", "Say you will be with me", and the incredibly unsubtle "Get inside me".
When Stark had a heart attack, the suit ripped out its iron heart and ordered Stark to use it to save himself. Stark screamed that he can save her if he can "get inside you".
Just to make this story more unnecessarily sexual, Whiplash traded his generic supervillain costume and instead, wore a S&M leather outfit. Wonderful.
