That's right, Superman is apparently a hypnotist! It's often asked how on Earth people can't tell that Clark Kent and Superman are the same person, but this has been explained as the "low-level hypnotic effect" of Superman's eyes. Moreover (and even more ludicrous), the lenses of Clark Kent's glasses were once described as being made from the window of a crashed Kryptonian rocket - pieces of which had "coincidentally" broken off into perfectly round pieces suitable for turning into spectacles. Being from Krypton, they also conveniently enhanced the hypnotic powers of Superman's eyes, so that people see Clark Kent how Superman wants them to see Clark Kent, meaning that there's a somewhat plausible (albeit also somewhat ridiculous) explanation as to why people can't tell that they're the same person.
