10 Superpowers You Didn't Know The Fantastic Four Have

5. The Fantastic Four's Powers Are Stronger When They Are Close To One Another

The Fantastic Four aren't just friends or teammates; they are a family. Although Ben Grimm isn't directly related to the other three, there is probably no superhero team that have a closer relationship.

Whether they are journeying through time and space, plunge into the depths of Hell, or venture to another dimension, the FF are never far from each other. Even when the Thing died, they went to Heaven to get him back!

Because they are so close, the Fantastic Four never realised until recently that their powers are tethered to one another. In the series, Marvel 2-In-One, Reed Richards and Sue Storm go missing for several months and are assumed dead. Shortly after, Johnny Storm notices his fire powers are on the fritz and Ben Grimm is losing his strength.

After being studied by an imperiumologist (superpower scientist), the remaining Fantastic Two learn their powers get stronger when they are in close proximity of each other. Because Reed and Sue have gone missing, Johnny and Ben are getting weaker. If the four are away from each other for too long, they will lose their powers entirely.
