10 Utterly Ridiculous Comic Book Characters

4. Hindsight Lad

the creeper
Marvel Comics

Carlton LaFroyge known as Hindsight Lad or Hindsight was created by Fabian Nicieza and Darrick Robertson and first appeared in The New Warriors Annual #3. Hindsight had no superpowers or skills other than being able to look at a situation after it happened and explain how it could have been done better and especially how his superpowered teammates on the Warriors could have done better. Hindsight was the superhero equivalent of an internet troll.

LaFroyge was horrified at what he (wrongly) saw as the Warriors' fault for the Stanford Disaster when the current team attempted to bring in Nitro on their reality show and he exploded killing them and hundreds of the town's residents. Cementing his troll status, he created a website that revealed the real names and addresses of all the Warriors, past and present, opening them up to violence. He was forced to take the site down and was arrested but the damage was done.

Clearly, writers have decided that Hindsight was destined to go from an objectionable but ultimately harmless throwaway character to one that has gone completely around the bend. LaFroyge was now pushing conspiracy theories about the superhero community. One stated that the whole community was run by a Cabal consisting of Beta Ray Bill, Brother Voodoo, Dazzler, Deadpool, Lockjaw, and Puck.
