10 Weird Alternate Versions Of Spider-Man

The Marvel Zombies Universe was first introduced as part of an Ultimate Fantastic Four storyline. Reed Richards was seemingly contacted by his Main Universe counterpart to build a portal between worlds. However, when Reed crossed over, he found a world where every hero had been turned into a flesh hungry zombie.

Among the horde of undead heroes, was a version of Spider-Man whose leg can fall off if he swings too hard and who was overcome with remorse for his victims before the hunger kicked in.

Like the other zombies though, Peter's desire to eat brains was too strong for him to resist and he would willing resort to murder for food.

After Reed escaped back to his home dimension, the zombies were given their very own miniseries. Most of the characters were wiped out in a final battle between heroes and villains (although those terms don't really mean much when both sides are happy to smash open skulls for the prize inside), but Spider-Man was one of the few to survive.

Along with Giant-Man, Wolverine, the Hulk, (half of) Iron Man and Luke Cage, he ate Galactus and gained his powers, becoming a devourer of worlds.

Peter turned against his zombies in a later series though, and eventually died releasing a cure that wiped out the remaining undead.
