11. Super Hero Airport Battle (76051)
There is much to like about this 2016 Captain America: Civil War set, but it has three main things going for it.
First, it’s based on the airport battle scene, so it boasts a lot of minifigures. Captain America and Iron Man are there, of course, along with War Machine, Bucky, and Scarlet Witch. That’s a decent haul.
Second, that Quinjet! It’s a solid, engaging build, very angular and aggressive, and it would be a proper set all on its own.
And third – GIANT ANT-MAN! A brick-built giant-sized Ant-Man that’s as surprisingly cute as it is hilarious. While the back of it doesn’t look so great – there are a lot of exposed anti-studs (the undersides of bricks) – the build still strikes an amusing tone as it towers over other minifigures on a shelf or desk.
Easter eggs include stickered luggage marked “Wakanda” and “Sokovia” and cargo with AIM and Hammer Industries labels.
