But the visuals are a lot more interesting than just a guy talking for 17 minutes. Landis already had some
pretty serious filmmaking chops and ambitions, and wrote and directed Chronicle, which was released a year after this movie. You may disagree on one or two points (death in comics had been a revolving door some time before the 1990s), but Landis is always entertaining, always charmingly personal, and generally right.
