11. Max Landis' The Death And Return Of Superman

https://youtu.be/0PlwDbSYicM Every so often, listening to someone tell you about comics is as much fun as reading them, and that idea forms the spine of Landis' epic, hilarious deconstruction of the "Death of Superman" storyline of the 1990s. But the visuals are a lot more interesting than just a guy talking for 17 minutes. Landis already had some pretty serious filmmaking chops and ambitions, and wrote and directed Chronicle, which was released a year after this movie. You may disagree on one or two points (death in comics had been a revolving door some time before the 1990s), but Landis is always entertaining, always charmingly personal, and generally right.
