15 Greatest Joker Comics Of All Time

2. Mad Love

Joker Rebirth
DC Comics

There are plenty of obvious reasons to hate The Joker. For one, he’s a fully functioning homicidal artist. But this masterpiece from the creators of “Batman: The Animated Series” convinces you to hate him for something a bit more domestic: he’s a terrible boyfriend.

Through Harley Quinn’s transformation from malleable pop psychologist to supervillain moll, all a result of Joker’s game playing, we see very different shades of Joker’s evil than we’re used to. We realize he’s manipulative, fickle, and unglamorous in his obsessions.

We see an unpleasant caricature of the abusive boyfriend. Come for the storytelling genius of the creative team, stay for the emotional fish-whacks to the gut.
