The '90s were a weird and more often than not terrible time to be a comic book fan. For proof of that, look no further than Batman #500. With Bruce Wayne out of commission after having his back broken by Bane, the mantle was passed on to one Jean-Paul Valley, an unhinged man who decked himself out in literally the most '90s era costume possible. Covered in unnecessary gadgets and pieces of armour, this was a dark time for fans of the Caped Crusader. Although most are just grateful that it wasn't Bruce in his hilariously awful get up.
