Comic book fans who aren't quite so enamoured with Superman like to poke fun at the fact that Clark Kent manages to fool the world into not realising he's the Man of Steel with just a pair of glasses. In reality, it's not quite that simple. While he doesn't put on the same bumbling act as Christopher Reeve did in Superman, the comic book version tints his glasses so his eyes appear to be a different colour, gives himself a different voice by controlling the vibrations of his vocal chords, and wears looser clothing to distance himself from his alter-ego.
