Robbie Baldwin had an absolutely colossal arc following the opening events of 2006's Civil War. What started as a jovial, naive and overconfident young hero doing something extremely stupid became a painful and compelling story of responsibility, atonement and guilt.
We followed Robbie trying to cope with being the only survivor of the villain Nitro's explosion that killed his friends, civilians and several dozen school children. The trauma from the event and the fact that he was partly responsible rendered Robbie unable to use his kinetic powers without first hurting himself.
Over time, he managed to work through a lot of his trauma, guilt and an addiction to the pain he was causing himself. He managed to pick himself back up and even tried to reform the New Warriors with the help of a reluctant Nova.
He was last seen in an important position during one of the Battleworld stories where the Civil War had never ended. He was enlisted as a Punisher, law enforcement for Steve Rogers' territory, The Blue.
In any case, it's a real shame to not see Robbie after his stellar development and the time Marvel invested in him.
