Hank Pym was a founding member of the Avengers who has since had a huge impact on the Marvel Universe. He even decided upon the teams name! The discovery of the Pym Particles that gave him his power has also created a legacy of heroes over the years, all who can alter their size at will, including Atlas, Goliath and even Scott Lang's daughter Stature. Of course, the most renowned character to be inspired by Ant-Man is his wife and fellow founder, the Wasp. Janet Van Dyne originally started out as Pym's crime fighting partner, but as the years progressed, the two married and starred in some of the most pivotal Marvel storylines of all time, including the aforementioned wife beating plot, where Pym struck his wife and was subsequently kicked off the Avengers team. Heavy stuff. And let's not forget that he created Ultron, the key antagonist of the upcoming Avengers movie, who in turn created the Vision, one of the Avengers most popular characters. The legacy of Ant-Man could become an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe too if the solo venture is successful. Many fans would love to see Ant-Man and even the Wasp join Earths Mightiest Heroes for the final installment of the Avengers trilogy and for those disbelievers who still doubt a shrinking hero can hold their own alongside a thunder god and a super soldier, I say read on and prepare to have your mind blown.
