7 Times Comics Made Terrible Heroes Great
3. Vigilante And Shining Knight Prove The Doubters Wrong

This is technically cheating, owing to the fact this moment stemmed from an animated show and not a comic, but it makes a valuable point - any character, regardless of their stature or personality, can find an audience with the right treatment.
Patriot Act, Justice League: Unlimited's 33rd episode, focuses on what most would consider to be the League's 'B-team'. They'd made appearances on the peripheries before, but Vigilante, Shining Knight and S.T.R.I.P.E. aren't exactly who you'd consider A-material. Typical of Justice League, however, this episode did a fantastic job of spotlighting the lesser-known characters from the DC Universe, and Vigilante and Shining Knight in particular emerge for the better.
Neither character managed to make a lasting impression in any of the episodes prior, but by the end of this episode, they'd cemented themselves not only as worthwhile members of the league, but interesting heroes in their own right.
