8 X-Men Who Became Avengers

Alex Summers is the brother of Cyclops and a former leader of X-Factor, an offshoot of the X-Men that Alex helped manage alongside his then partner, Polaris. Alex has been an X-Man for a long time so his experience and raw power made him an excellent candidate for the Avengers.

Alex was asked, along with several other X-Men, to join the Avengers Unity Squad in order to help improve the public perception of mutant superheroes by giving them exposure alongside traditional Avengers. Alex developed a relationship with Wasp which led to them having a child together in the months to come, during the team's battles with Kang.

During the battles with Kang and the Apocalypse Twins, Havok and Wasp's child is lost, as Kang's manipulation of the timestream erases the baby from history.

During the events of AXIS, Alex is one of the heroes who has identity reversed, turning him into a villain and is also shielded from the attempted correction spell, remaining evil and becoming one of the main villains for the recently formed X-men Blue team.

Gary has been reading Marvel Comics since he was 6 years old. Rather than retain knowledge on things such as Maths or Science - he chose to become a sponge for most things Marvel. He has a longstanding grudge against Iron Man he has harbored since Civil War(2006).
