9 Worst Things The Joker Has Ever Done To Batman

8. Kidnapping Alfred & The Bat-Family (Death Of The Family)

Alfred Pennyworth - Bruce Wayne's long-serving butler at Wayne Manor - is arguably the person he is closest to in the world. Since the death of his parents' he has served as a sort of father-and-mother-rolled-into-one figure to him. So imagine the emotion upon learning that the villainous and depraved Joker had kidnapped him. In Death of the Family, that's exactly what happened, as Wayne returned home to discover that his butler and parental figure wasn't there. Worse still, Joker had kidnapped the rest of the Bat-family and, having incapacitated Batman, the hero woke up sat at a table surrounded by his allies (whose faces were all bandaged up). Joker informed him that the place was coated in gasoline and flints had been placed under Batman's chair - so if he move the places would be set alight. Then, Joker summoned a brainwashed Alfred, who he them prompted to serve the Bat-family their own severed faces for dinners (which turned out to be a trick, but it's still pretty damn sick).
