Justice League: 10 Most Emotional Moments
2. Barry Remembers Wally
When DC decided to reboot their universe in 2011, one of the most baffling characters left out of the new universe was fan favorite Wally West. Taking up the mantle of the Flash after Barry Allen sacrificed himself, he was the only version of the Flash that many readers of DC comics knew. His absence remained a mystery until 2016's Rebirth, when we finally got an answer as to where he went.
The admittedly convoluted answer was that after the events of Flashpoint, Wally was seemingly stuck outside of time and space. Everyone he once knew and loved had completely forgotten him, as he was a relic of a reality that now no longer existed. After trying and failing to get help from several other characters, Wally comes across Barry. Feeling himself fade from existence, Wally gives a tearful goodbye to his mentor, who at first doesn't seem to remember him.
As Wally resigns to his fate, fading from existence, we get a close up of Barry. Suddenly, it clicks, and he says his name. Barry grabs hold of him, and rips Wally from speedforce. The two share in a tearful embrace, as all the memories of Wally come flooding back. In a panel overflowing with emotion, Barry simply says "How could I ever forget you?"
