5. Ghost Rider Killed Star Brand... For Real

One of the best aspects of Legacy #1 was Robbie Reyes. In it, Aaron takes the character on a journey to South Africa, where, after experiencing a dream of an Avengers team more than 1,000,000 years in the making, he comes into contact with the present day Star Brand (Kevin Connor) - a character who happened to feature in his vision. Things don't end well however, with Robbie finding the ability to penance stare the guy after they start fighting to the point that he explodes, killing him in the process.

We don't know for certain why Star Brand was so opposed to Robbie heading past Cape Town, but no doubt it'll have something to do with those pesky Celestials. Either way, it certainly feels as though the original Ghost Rider (the one with the literal mammoth ride) and the original Star Brand have some major history between them.

To our knowledge, Kevin hadn't really done anything to warrant a penance stare, certainly not to the extent that it would kill him. Despite the fact he murdered two security members at the dig site, that alone wouldn't be enough for the Rider to inflict the kind of damage he did. Instead, it could be the case that the original Star Brand - the one from all those years ago - did something truly terrible.

In any case, Ghost Rider looks set to have a major part to play in the cosmic conflict coming. It's just a shame the first casualty had to be Kevin.
