The 10 Best Horror Comics You've NEVER Heard About

3. Bela Lugosi's Tales From The Grave

Vincent Price isn't the only one who got resurrected in comic book form to tell the comic reading public bone chilling tales. Bela Lugosi also gets in on the action with Bela Lugosi's Tales From The Grave. Utilizing top tier writers and artists from around the industry, Tales From The Grave gives you one haunting tale after another.

While not the best horror anthology comic out there (that's for the next entry), what sets it apart from Vincent Price Presents is all in presentation. Presents was fun, but like a lot of Price's best work, its tongue was very much in its cheek with some genuine horror sprinkled throughout for a more varied product. All well and good for what it was going for, but Tales From The Grave, much like our next entry, isn't messing about.

It's drenched in wonderfully thick atmosphere, aided by both the art and the dialogue of the characters. This comic is out to scare you, the variety coming in all the different ways in which it accomplishes this. So if you're an old school monster movie fan who misses the first king of horror cinema something fierce, head over to your local comic shop and listen to the chilling music made by this child of the night.
