Every Villain The Arrowverse Has Teased But Not Used

4. Bane

Harley Quinn Heroes in Crisis
DC Comics

One of the Dark Knight's most imposing street-level foes, Bane is most renowned for deducing Batman's secret identity, breaking his back and being one of the few foes that can match the hero blow for blow as well as in a game of wits and strategy.

His use of Venom to enhance his already imposing physical stature might be overkill for such a capable character, but is also fitting for someone of his savagery. The character's live-action appearances have ranged from awful to admirable, and one wonders what a full-fledged appearance from him in the Arrowverse would look like.

He was referenced in Batwoman's second season when Gotham crime lord Black Mask was administering Venom to disgruntled ex-Crow Russell Tavaroff. From what Sionis said about the villain, it is implied that he was just as intimidating as his comics incarnation.

If the Arrowverse ever chose to adapt him, going for a comics-accurate interpretation would be an ideal way of differentiating him from the Nolanverse Bane and whatever Batman and Robin was aiming for.
