Jeff Nichols’ critically acclaimed science fiction drama Midnight Special receives its home entertainment release this summer, available on Digital HD from 1st August, and Blu-ray™ and DVD from 8th August.

When his son, Alton (Jaeden Lieberher), is taken by a fundamentalist religious sect convinced that his supernatural abilities are a sign of divine intervention, Roy (Michael Shannon) instinctively acts to rescue him back from their clutches. The danger increases however, when Alton's abilities attract the attention of the FBI who believe his very existence is a threat to mankind. As the FBI and the cult become increasing collaborative in their search Roy, Alton and their bodyguard Lucas (Joel Edgerton) find themselves on the run for their lives.

With the federal pursuit headed up Paul Sevier (Paul Sparks) of the National Security Agency, the trio's fate hang in the balance. All the while Roy will stop at nothing to keep his son from harm and uncover the truth behind his unbelievable power, a discovery which could change the world forever.
