1. Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice
The Buzz: It's Batman vs Superman: what more do you need to know? It's the showdown between DC's most famous superheroes, the movie that's been attempted in the past but never quite came together and now, finally, it's almost here. Not good enough for you? It's even got appearances from Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller), as well as the villainous Doomsday and possibly others, just to sweeten the deal. Even with a healthy degree of skepticism, it's hard not to be a little excited. Why It's Going To Disappoint: There are just so many moving parts and opportunities for this movie to be a letdown. Let's see: there's Affleck's controversial new Batman, the sheer wealth of characters the movie has to cram into its run-time, the depiction of iconic villains like Lex Luthor and Doomsday, whether fans will get on board with Aquaman, and if the movie effectively sets up Justice League. It's trying to do so much that it seems almost certain that the film will fall down in at least a few areas, and though everyone's going to see it regardless of the reviews, it's best to go in with tempered expectations. It'll almost certainly be decent, but whether the whole will be any better remains to be seen. It sure cuts a nice trailer, but think of all the films that have done that only to be majorly disappointing. Which anticipated 2016 movie do you feel will be the most disappointing? Shout it out in the comments!
