10 2017 Horror Movies To Sate Your Bloodlust Until Halloween

Since the company was founded back in 2012, A24 have really made a name for themselves, releasing a consistently high-quality catalogue of films. The company has a particularly impressive track record when it comes to its genre output too, being responsible for the release of movies such as The Witch, Ex Machina, Under the Skin and Green Room.

A24's latest horror release, It Comes At Night, looks set to continue that trend. Starring Joel Edgerton and Riley Keough, the story takes place in the wake of a world-altering supernatural threat, after which Joel Edgerton and his family have been forced to establish a new way of living.

This newfound security is soon threatened with the arrival of a new family seeking shelter however, as tensions and paranoia between the two groups reach a fever pitch; calling into question where the true horror lies: outside or inside?

While the trailer for the movie doesn't show all that much, it is absolutely dripping with oppressive atmosphere and unsettling paranoia worthy of classics like Carpenter's The Thing. This is shaping up to be one of the best horror films of the year, in a year with already loaded with potential.
