Those looking for a more modern teen horror, especially if Unfriended was up your street, would particularly enjoy this one.
The narrative follows a ‘cam girl’ after her account is hacked into and a bot that looks just like her begins to use her identity, sending her up the online ranks with more out-there content.
This film is not one to watch with the family, there are more intimate scenes throughout. However, if you enjoy more of a mystery rather than a horror filled with jump scares and monsters around every corner then you’ll enjoy this. The third act of the film relies on the twist and the mystery of the hidden identity behind the hacked accounts.
A tamer horror, but one that would definitely keep the engagement of a teen-based audience.
