10 21st Century Horror Movies That Are So Bad They're Good

4. 31 (2016)

Polaroid Horror
Front Row Filmed Entertainment

Easily described as a darker version of The Purge, 31 follows a group of carnival workers who are kidnapped to participate in a hunting game of cat and mouse, between them and a group of upper-class business men and women.

The beginning of the film's first act is a little harder to endure due to the stylistic montage choices and black and white film noir type opening, however the bulk of the plot is original and suspenseful throughout.

This film is definitely the goriest in this top 10, expected in a film with a mass murder rampage plotline. There is a selection of twists and distrust within the characters, covering a range of settings with a limited cast.

Top tip: maybe don’t watch this film after a large dinner.
