10 21st Century Horror Movies That Are So Bad They're Good
2. The Reeds (2010)
For anyone looking for a thriller with a much darker tone than The Reeds is for you. A group of friends embark on a boating trip across dark waters overnight, only to discover that they can’t find their way back, their only choice to venture off the river and into the reeds… sounds scary, yes?
Excluding the third act of the film (which could have probably have been cut off a lot sooner), the main body is full of confusing twists and turns but promise they all make sense in the end.
Without giving away spoilers, the plot focuses on the individual characters as they lose their way within the dark land and discover a backstory to why the strange things are happening to them that will definitely make you consider your next fishing trip wisely.
There are a few good jump scares in the mid climax of the film itself and slight gore in places. Watch this film with a friend or family member – anyone really, as long as you've got someone to debate with about what the hell is going on!
