10 90s Films That Hollywood Will Probably Remake

9. From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)

What Culture - 90s remakes From Dusk Till Dawn Written by (and starring) Quentin Tarantino and directed by his long-time friend/collaborator Robert Rodriguez, From Dusk Till Dawn is a quintessential €˜90s crime-horror film featuring a badass tattooed George Clooney and more vampires than you could shake a stake at. The basic plot follows a couple of brother criminals (played by Clooney and Tarantino) who are on the run over the border in Mexico with a family of hostages (Harvey Keitel, Juliette Lewis and Ernest Liu), eventually laying low in a bar that, unbeknown to them, is actually the feeding ground for a group of vampires. That could very easily be redone but whether or not it could capture the over-the-top, often icky violence and knowing humour of the original €“ and not to mention Tarantino€™s sharp, too-cool-for-school dialogue (good luck with that!) - is another matter. But a remake at least seems preferable than them making anymore sequels/prequels.
