9. The Faculty
If you avoided Josh Hartnett in the 90s then you may have been one of the lucky few. His stone cold, angsty expression made him the poster boy for young girls who didnt quite want a bad boy but wanted a boy who looked like they could be bad. However, his vacant, heavy browed face was exactly what Robert Rodriguez needed to fill the role of drug peddling, high school heartthrob when he directed The Faculty. Casey and Zeke (HOW FREAKING 90S!) lead a Breakfast Club style gang of survivors to take a stance against unwelcome alien visitors who take over their school. Despite being slated for ripping off earlier sci-fi/horror classics, the aliens were a one of a kind new breed of scary that we hadn't seen sight of before the films relese, and the final scene in the gymnasium actually left you with your heart in your throat during your pre pubescent years. With most ripping now considered to be a tongue in cheek homage to its predecessor movies, The Faculty remains a film you could stick on during a sleepover and use to scare the friend with the weak constitution.
