Shortly after youve crystallised that thought, the rug is pulled from under you in a way thats at once both surprising and completely predictable. After one car misses him by a hairs breadth, youd think the young man would shift, but no, oncoming traffic is of course secondary to looking back at a hot girl you literally just met. How To Survive It: Its simple really. Make a decision. Cross the road, or look back in longing, imagining what might have been. But dont do both simultaneously.
