You dont have to immediately bash its head in, but at least open with a line of questioning like before I come over there and put my hands and throat near your mouth, tell me, are you a zombie? Silence, throaty moaning and/or snarling probably means yes. In which case, reach for a blunt object. Dramatically, Luis had to die at that point to stress the severity of the situation, but if it happened to me Id have been way more cautious.
