10 Absurd Phobias Influenced By Horror Movies

1. Babies - Grace (2009)

dead-baby-canoodling Our last phobia, babies! Who would ever be afraid of babies? Seems highly illogical, and yet, it exists, kind of like the fear of teenagers only even more ridiculous. Known as paedophobia, it appears that people who suffer from this phobia are often afraid of mishandling the baby, as well as their needy behavior. Babies also have a tendency to stare vacantly at random things, much like when your cat or dog decides to stare at an empty corner, which some people find unsettling. We all know that babies are harmless though, so ultimately, this is a truly absurd fear. Perhaps though, sufferers of those phobia would be wise to avoid the film Grace. It tells the story of a young woman, the titular Grace, who decides to carry her stillborn baby to term. It miraculously comes back to life, only with a taste for human blood. A short, taut and unsettling psychological horror, Grace wholly delivers on the creepy baby front. Grace grows more and more desperate as the film goes on, and the subject matter itself is rather unique, resulting in a surprisingly arty chiller.
