10 Action Movies That Ripped Off Die Hard

7. Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995)

under siege 2 Steven Seagal had so much fun as the super chef who saved the day in Under Siege 1 that he decided to do it again in 2. This time, however, instead of Die Hard on a ship, we have Die Hard on Rails. It is easy to see that the world had an overabundance of homicidal madmen in the 90's as each one of these films have one and a gang of cutthroats and people prepared to cheat at scrabble. Ryback has retired from the Navy and is still a chef, jeeze some guys never get a break, and he's taking his estranged niece Sarah (Katherine Heigl) on the fancy, sleek, and fast Grand Continental train. Just as Ryback hasn't changed his profession of choice, his luck hasn't changed either. He manages to be on the train when, you guessed it, a terrorist takes it over. This time Seagal's character has to face two mastermind criminals as mad scientist type, Travis Dane (Eric Bogosian) and the more familiar mercenary type, Marcus Penn (Travis Dane) together, cut the train's phone lines, take over communication and turn the train into a rolling command post. Dane was fired after he developed a new superior missile system, angry at being made redundant, he makes a deal with Middle Eastern terrorists to destroy the eastern seaboard in the USA. With Ryback's help, the deadly duo's plans go awry. After scientist rat Dane tries to flee the sinking mission, Penn kills him and then hunts down Casey. Of course Seagal wins the day in yet another one on one combat scenario.
