6. Passenger 57 (1992)

This film is Die Hard on a Plane with Wesley Snipes as ex-cop John Cutter. Not wanting to go on and on about size, but Snipes got stuck with the least amount of leg room than all the other films in this category. But size issues aside, he plays the same type of guilt ridden, traumatised guy who gets caught up in a terrorist's plans. In this case, Cutter is mourning the death of his wife in a 7-11 robbery gone wrong. He is passenger 57 on the airplane that gets hijacked by international terrorist Charles Rane (Bruce Payne) who is so renowned that he has his own catchy nickname, "The Rane of Terror." Rane's goons board the plane disguised as employees of the airline, they wait until Rane is brought on board by his two FBI escorts and the plane is airborne before they kill Rane's escorts and take all the passengers hostage. Cutter makes himself scarce and starts messing up Rane's carefully laid plans. He forces the plane to land for refuelling and he escapes only to realise that his friend Marti is still on board. He then gets back on the plane to save Marti and the day.
